Meliá Hotels International has opened a new luxury lodge, Meliá Serengeti Lodge, in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, on the western border of Lake Victoria.

Ana Rubio, Communication Manager of Communication Manager of Melia Hotels International, said the 50-room lodge features three categories of rooms: Melia Lagoon View on the ground floor; Melia Savannah on the first floor; and suites on the top floor.

“The spectacular rooms and suites at the Meliá Serengeti Lodge blend an elegant and contemporary design with influences from the traditional Masai culture and classic colonial details,” said Rubio.

There are three restaurants: The Savannah all-day-dining, and The Savannah Grill – which offer African, Mediterranean and Oriental cuisine; as well as the Boma restaurant, a fine-dining experience showcasing the best of Tanzanian fare.

There is a meeting room that can accommodate 50 delegates theatre-style, and activities include full- and half-day game drives, balloon safaris and safaris on foot.

Meliá Hotels & Resorts, a brand of Meliá Hotels International, is the most well-known international brand in the portfolio of Meliá Hotels International. It has more than 100 city and resort hotels in the main leisure and business destinations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America.
