Bush Camp by Camp Kwando, situated on an island in the flood plains of the Kwando River in Namibia, opened recently.

Accommodation comprises four private camp sites, each with its own braai (barbecue) facilities under a thatched roof, and ablutions with toilets. Each camping site also has electricity at certain times, provided by a generator.

Firewood is available for purchase at the campsite. Activities include fishing, self-guided nature trails and self-drive game drives.

In addition, there is a deck at the camp overlooking the Kwando River.

Access is along the Trans Caprivi Highway (B8) between Rundu and Kongola. About five kilometres before Kongola, guests then turn south. According to Bush Camp by Camp Kwando, there is excellent road signage along the way.
